Thou art existent!
Thou art abundant!
Thou art the pleasure so few will forego!
Thou art the treasure so few have sought
Though endless is the wealth thou dost bestow!
Thou art endearing, my most dearest love!
Thou art enchanting, as a cooing dove!
Thou art my companion, my truest inspirtation--

Therefore, oh life, I love you!

Thou art malignant!
Thou art repugnant!
Thou art of scarlet--you're the sable of throe!
Thou art the harlot so many have sought
And bought with the wealth thou dost bestow!
Thou art distressing, as an ogress ashen!
Thou art forbearing, as a craven raven!
Thou art but death, the taker of my breath--

Therefore, oh life, I hate you!
