An insight I was fortunate to have.
Inside of me,
There is a bird.
I feel wings.
Push to fly away.
Away to you.
But you are not
A bird.

You are a dragon,
With fiery breath,
Waiting to devour
my bird.
Waiting,
in the form of
A bird,
But I know you for what
You truly are.

My bird is pushing,
Against my chest.
It takes the air form my lungs.
I can sense the feelings,
Swell within it.
A love that has no boundary,
No matter how far
I probe in the dark,
Trying to hit a wall
In emotion.

But there is none.
My bird,
Be careful
With that love.
You don’t know what,
You’re dealing with.
Forever is a very
Long time.
Cannot you close
Your feelings up?

For the first
time,
No wings are beating,
Glowing with love.
Instead the bird,
It hovers,
On the brink.
The brink of
Undecided
Love.

Love undecided.
Undecided
love.
Floats within
My bird.

Then all at once,
It changes course,
And light,
Surges,
Through my
soul.
The choice is made,
The bird breaks free.

Oh fiery dragon,
My heart is coming,
On wings
Of a dove
As the bird
Breaks free.
My heart comes,
Flying
Flying,
to thee.
