Written for someone that I met that had an addiction problem. Denzil go well.
I don’t know why, I sometimes give you such a hard time!
What has happened to me, over time?
I don’t always feel so fine!

Through the good and the bad, you have always stood by me
Even though I often made you feel so sad!
Have I slowly been going mad?

The “mine fields” galore, that I left in store
                      Now,
                      Is the
                      Time
                      To pick
                    Myself up
                  Off the floor
              And promise you,
Not to go down that road anymore, No, No more!

The next portion of my life,
I don’t want to cause you anymore strife
I have wronged you so many times in the past!

I wonder ..... Am I truthfully able to say?
            “This is the last”!
It is now truly in the “past?
