this is a poem about my one request in my death, to not know when.

When the lights become dim
And it’s time to leave
I do not want to know
The day, month, or time

The questions and doubts
That would fill my head
The what if’s and if only’s
Of long forgotten mistakes

I would not want to plan
My last activities or meals
The surprises of life are what make
Life worth living

Questions of life anwsered
Knowing before it’s over
Become like spoiling the end
Of a good book
