A short poem about domestic abuse, inspired by Red Jumpsuit Aparatus' Face Down.
Blood and tears running down her cheeks
She’s just a walking tragedy

Her lips quiver and her body shakes
Coldly, he stares at her, with no shame

Badly bruised and forever scarred
Slowly breaking her fragile heart

But now her torture ends tonight
She’s packing her bags, taking flight

He screams as she walks out the door
But that doesn’t matter anymore
