A poem about struggle in the demeaning American society.
I am oppressed by society, repressed by fear,
stifled by myself.
If this suppression would dissipate,
Perhaps, I would cry out.
Maybe,
maybe someday,
I'll be strong enough to fight back against obstruction,
and bold enough to dare to
live
