Poem about a girl who is afraid to tell her crush how she feels
Secret Love

This love, like nothing I’ve ever known
And something you’ll never know
To not think of you
Is a task that is hard for me
So I let my mind wander for a while longer
Until reality comes into play

Looking at you still shocks me
You are truly beautiful as man can get
Inside and out
You bring joy and laughter to those around you
You know just how to make me smile
With the little things you do

You don’t know how it hurts me
Not to be able to tell you how I feel
I want you to know
So that you can feel this love like I do
But I’m afraid you’ll reject me
Or hurt me in some way

It’s too late now
You are gone from my life
All I can do now is dream
Of what our love could have been like
If only I would have opened my mouth to say: “I love you”
