It was something we wrote in a Creative Writing Class. It's based of the style by Roethke
I was always one for vanishing,
Seeking in myself my own escape;
At the edge of the ocean waiting for meaning to come;
Standing, silent,  I gazed at the white foam and green deep depths;
Knowing the reasons I had to leave:
As a fish deep in the blue water, scared...

Was it yesterday I realized that there were people worse off?
O the feelings we hide, when we don't want others to see the real us!
Once I could remember my ambitions, and could once again be content;
In the breaking of the new day of morrow, the glorious sun rises,
Drifting with rays of glowing light and golds across the sky,
A new dream beggining within the warm glow.

I think of the Forgotten:
The ritualists of the reflections, the shadows trailing behind their owners,
the minions of themselves and their colleagues,
And those who dwelve with no one to love them at all...

What do they regret?
O more then the sinner during confession,
For the morals of right and wrong do not concern them;
They feel neither the redeption that comes from prayer
nor the sound of the angel's heavenly song--
How I wish them atonement!
May the hand of god reach out and help them;
May they understand that they will be saved;
May they follow the commandments and set their paths straight;
May the devil be banished from their thoughts and minds;
May they care about others as much as themselves;
May they finally learn what it is to love and to be loved!-...."
