"Live each season as it passes." Henry David Thoreau
Life is renewed by the morning sunlight.
Intricate beams glisten in passing streams.
Vibrantly, the forest comes into sight.
Ev'ry creature awakens from its dreams.

Each soft breeze rustles through emerald leaves.
As branches sway while enchanting winds blow.
Calming the birds taking refuge in trees.
Hearing the thankful songs that they bestow.

Seasons passed during the hours that day.
Ending the warmth when winter cold had shown.
As leaves change colors and wither away.
Slowly falling from where they once had grown.

Onto the ground where the leaf will remain.
Never to return to the sky again.
