I'm unsuccessfully attempting to string my words together in the eloquence which you are all too capable of.

Pieced together with you, in a tangled mess we lie.
Your heartbeat meshes with mine.
You breath enters and exits at a steady pace.
I'm draped over you, judging the moment
by a clock that's twenty-minutes fast.

We're gone before I even know where it was we were.
"Where's my necklace...where's my heart?"
Ephemeral, but we were amazing.
I miss the feeling of tosseling your hair.
Of your breath against my neck,
your lips on my forehead,
your arms protectively over me.
"I miss us" (She whispered.)
"There is no 'us', there was never an 'us'." (He said.)

I'm unsuccessfully attempting to string my words together in the eloquence which you are brutally capable of.

Yeah, he's brutal and blind,
but I'm able to see him all the time.
Could you just...
"Let me let you go..."
He's still so aggressive.
"I want to hate you, I wish I could."
"Then hate me."
Laughing "If it were only that easy..."

I told one of the ants around us
the secret I had kept for your ears.
It was only held back by my teeth.
I knelt down in the grass.
"I love him" (She whispered.)
That ant spoke back furiously,
"I've got a better chance of making it through the winter!"
And he carried on with some pebble weighing him down.

I wish I could piece my words together just as eloquently as we were.

"You'll learn eloquence with heartache."  He whispered.
