We all find ourselves being turned on some time...
Act One, Scene One
the play's just begun.
See: two "best" friends talking
it's all cool, just for fun.

Hear: conceptual truths,
and muttered lies.
Going at psychological warfare-
One's out for the prize.

Act One, Scene Two
sit down, this play's not through.
Two's getting suspicious,
kind of confused.

Deceiving questions,
shifty eyes
One gives cryptic answers-
cutting ties.

Act One, Scene Three
the script's almost complete.
One still doesn't like it,
"It's not all about me!"

So while Two's back is turned,
One comes up with a plan-
he grabs a lethal blade; supposedly fake.
Any measure to be 'The Man'.

Now begging for life
and bowed down on bent knee,
with despair in his voice
Two has a last plea.

"Please don't do this,
I want to go on",
but One can't stop now.
He won't quit 'til the job is done.

Now surrounded by blood
on a stage otherwise bare,
One can't figure out
if it was worth it not to share.
