Verbal abuse is as bad as a beating, if not worse.
Distressed cockerel with its tainted smile and ruffled despair.
Like a weeping willow, alone and ashamed.
Abattu âme.

Your east wind is a phantom in your mind, blurred and distorted.
Like a frayed pin cushion. Your heart is a sapling of distress;
A voodoo doll in disguise.

Truth in worship is an unyielding lie.

Nurture life in its swooning torment, delinquent child.
Fathom the potential sway of breath, exhaled.

Battered utterance brought pain into your heart,
But the scolding silence confirmed its truth.

The illusion that conforms thought with blind reality,
As brutal lessons are learned in broken dreams,
Hope is a misleading path to extinguished candles.
