When the person you love becomes a stranger.
Stranger

Wired, restless, no sleep.
Words thrown on a piece of paper
Hoping a stranger will read your mind.

A stranger who might read your mind
Better than your own love.
Better than yourself.
Better than the ink that gives life
To your writing,
To your soul,
To your mind.

No sleep, lonely and hurt.
Hurt by the idea that your love
Once knew who you were.
But now, he does not.
He cannot read your mind
As you wish he once did
When he was a stranger
Reading your scraps and reading your mind.
