LITTLE WILLOW


I HAD A DREAM OF A LITTLE WILLOW
WITH ITS LITTLE LEAVES
ALL PARCH AND BROWN


IT HAD ITS LITTLE BRANCHES
REACHING HIGH TO THE SKY

MUCH FARTHER THAN LIFE CAN GO
OR OUR DREAMS CAN BE CARRIED


IT WAS WANTING ONLY ONE LITTLE THING
A DROP OF
WATER
TO QUENCH THE THIRST FOR ITS LITTLE PARCH LEAVES

THAT IS NOT MUCH TO ASK FOR
JUST A DROP
WATER

WHEN YOU LOOK TO THE SKY'S
WHAT DO YOU ASK FOR?

WHAT DOES
ANY OF US ASK FOR?
