Perfect describes basically innocence, discipline and competition.
I remember the fluttering of butterflies in my stomach
The nail-biting anxities of watching time go backwards instead
Our time had come to prove ourselves once again
Waiting, and watching the many different emotions their faces showed
Having this mindset of nothing you do will ever be good enough

I remember our faces had been beautifully covered by chemically scented make-up
rich navy-blue eye shadow had been applied so heavily it weighed our eyelids down
The sparkling of gold glitter that made our faces glow
Deep auburn lipstick neatly enhanced full lips not our own

I remember their faces clearly; mine must have shown likewise
We had devoted our lives entirely to this sport
Nothing else mattered but this moment
The only single moment where we had absolute control over our lives and destiny

But most of all I remember the numbing feeling,
The hairs on the back of my neck rising,
The goosebumps errupting all over my body.
Once again we achieved the spot most wished
By all those hopeful dolls that filled that stage
In the young innocence of our lives
We had acquired naively what we thought what we thought was perfection.
