Bombarded with preconceived notions of who others think you are, stay strong.
Don't let the colored hair,
Or the piercings fool you.
Take all of that away,
and make sure you get a clear view.

I'm surrounded by confusion and lies-
masked by fake smiles, and lately....
in the words of a dear friend:
I'm covered in "What ifs?" and "Maybes"

What if..... I did this instead?
Maybe the outcome would have changed.
But the same lessons I would not have learned:
Harbor no regret and never give up, despite all the pain..

Don't let the snide remarks
and the laughter fool you.
Strip it all away
and make sure you get a clear view.

I'm full of passion and soul-
instilled with a love of life, and beauty.
Living my life for the one and only,
fulfilling my every duty.

At night, I say my prayers
and at day, just get by.
Try my hardest to make everyone happy
and make every attempt to avoid each lie.

So one last time:
Please don't let my past-
and my mistakes fool you, hear?.
Take a good step or two back,
and make sure your view is crystal clear...

I'm that girl that's so easy to please-
no amount of money can buy.
I just desire to do right by you,
and to keep all my loved ones by my side.
