This deal with a familymember who dies and how the branch of the family deals with it.
Dedicated to Giuseppe Giorgio DiPaola

There is a family tree continuing to grow.
However one died too young and it was quite a blow.
Yet, it had started long before his death.
None were to share with another, not even their breath.
Prior to dieing he knew
she would begin to dictate; stunting his branch as it grew.
Encouraging closeness in her family, she would not abide.
Raising each as an only child; kept the balance on her side.
Power was more important then the health of each leaf,
or the branch; keeping the advantage was her belief.
Each leaf added another branch, to ensure the tree’s growth.
But the tree began to burn instead; like a beef roast.
The tree and branches added on will break to the core.
A tree root needs depth, to live a generation or more.
Will any know their part in killing his branch of the tree?
Will the new branches be reason enough for why it had to be?
