Everybody wants something they just can't have
Many people spend their whole life in want
They know what they want
They know exactly why they want it
They dream of having it
But they never get it
They know they'll love it
They know they'll treat it well
But as much as they want it...
To them it is a forbidden fruit
That which they may not eat
As good as it looks
As much as they long for it
That longing is never satisfied
They try to get it off their minds
They try to let it go
But the thought clings to them
It clings to them like a newborn infant to it's mother
It will never leave their thoughts
They are forever inprisoned to it
Living no longer for themselves
But for the thought...
The thought that one day they may have it
That which has been kept from them for but so long
The thought that one day
The pain which they have felt for so long
May dissapear never to be had again
Those thoughts are those which keep them going
Those which keep them sane
These are the thoughts that keep them wanting
And never let them go
And this is how they live...
Forever wanting
Forever longing
Forever in pain...
