Thinking back to those simpler days...
Expectations of grandure diminishing in the final rays of sun,
Each dark cloud looming above you seeming to mock you,
As though to say, "Sorry, but this year is gonna suck, no matter what you do."

As days go by taking the shade of night and back again,
You seem to be losing more and more of the person you once were.

Friends who you once loved who once loved you back
Yurn into scornful enemies who wish to see you fail
(and by the looks of it they may succeed).

You soon find yourself remembering the many days past,
When you were young and life seemed simple, and the world seemed so grand.

What happend to those days of simplicity and joy,
Back when friends were meant to last forever.
I miss those days.
