This is an experimental poem with an emphasis on homonyms and word sounds.
Any verse airy
Or any wordlist full
Of meaningless,
Defined, bisyllabic
Conventions; in emotion
Rather than thought;
Falls short—Half-
Saying what I need, too;
Half for every hour hand
In mind.
(Hurry!) Composed,
Instead, fast resolved
To explain, My Love,
Wants for an

Anniversary,
Or any word listful
Of meaning—less
Defined by syllabic
Conventions. Any motion,
Rather. Then thought
Falls short of
Saying what I need--to
Have forever, your hand
In mine.
Her, Recomposed,
In steadfast resolve
To explain my love
Once foreign.
