We've all met someone like this!


My Life!

This is my life.
This is my world
to do with as I will.
Don't denigrate my efforts
with the venom you instill.

I hear it drip
from off your tongue.
Poison served with a smile,
wrapped up in fancy package.
Pretext for your cunning guile.

I will not be
your whipping post.
Don't treat me with disdain.
Your artful contempt for me
runs like water down the drain.

There is no way
that you can harm
the person I've become.
If I let your hate mar me
then I know that you'll have won.
