This poem reflects how love puts you in pain and love gets us out!
The Answer

I sat in the dark for many years
fighting with time
writing in rhyme
often through many tears

I sat in the cold through many seasons
wandering through life
pondering my strife
not ever knowing the reasons

I stood when I saw her beautiful face
outside my window
out by my pinto
my little heart had begun to race

I stood and rose out of my chains,
breaking free,
taking me
somewhere I felt was strange

I asked her name and got a kiss.
whisking me away,
risking to stay
lost in timeless bliss.

I asked her to stay and to never depart.
would she,
could she,
please hold my heart?

She gave me an answer, a sweet reply.
Her answer was, that she would try.
