Blood on my Hands

Teeth bite flesh
In frustration
In anticipation

Lip pierced with white
And the red drops form

Drop by drop
They fall
They flow

Specks of red staining
From rust to candy-apple

One by one
Dropping slowly
Onto my hands

I can’t hide the sin
This blood on my hands.
