Just something I wrote while bored.
The Ocean Storm

The winds began and drove our sail.
The light of dawn was nearly shed.
I flounder for eternity,
In the gale with my regret.

My dither arms of no avail,
I sink to my abyssal bed.
I slump in peace upon the floor,
But yearn to hug the swell once more.

With my private esteem, I do bewail.
Her violent winds will shortly give way.
And with her last breath I hope she will take
The breeze, which carries my say,

“We may want to live in peace
Until the dawn we die,
But never again in candid
For this will I try.”
