BLUEBERRY HILL
by
Eugenia C Wesch

Blades of grass are glistening, 'neath a starry moonlit night.
Lacey Spanish moss, cast shadows in the light.
Underneath the sweltering sun, people swimming the pool.
Enjoying their retirement, vacationing from work or school.
Bicycles are prevalent, ridden by young and old.
Entertainment fills the air, with BINGO for the bold,
Remembering the oldies, is what we like to do.
Reclaiming youth and innocents, and sharing it with you.
Youth has nothing on us, for here were youngsters too.

Here we find the friendships, that will linger where ever we go.
In time we'll see them once again, when winter blooms with snow.
Lil is like a mother hen, she makes us toe the line.
Little things she does for us, makes living here just fine.

Relaxing in the clubhouse, playing games that we adore.
Varietie's the spice of life, the same with games and more.

Parties planned throughout the season, are fun for everyone.
Aromas from fine cooking, are left when dinners done.
Relaxing after mealtime's, a heavy burden to bear.
Kitchen clean up by volunteers, I'm glad the chore is theirs.
