A poem about heartache.
-Broken & Shattered-

You laugh I cry,
you live I die.
You walked away and I fell down,
you weren't there to pick me up off the ground.

You held me up so I could love,
you tore me down to see me shattered.
Pain overflows my saddened body,
I'm so broken.

Tears leak out and now I'm crying,
I try to smile but I just can't do it;
I need your comforting hand to be in mine so we can walk against the darkness, and defeat the demon that lives within me.

I'm not strong enough to go without you,
for you have stolen bits and pieces of my heart.
Sew me back together, my love,
come back to the one who needs you.
