A poem about the loss of love.
You prick me with your silence,
Which forms a frozen
Road into my heart.
Your indifference stakes
me and dusts my spirit
Into a thousand pieces
Scattered along lonely
Rock infested shores.

I am interred
against the tumbling
Tide; I am one
with the woeful
Ocean that stretches
across to another
Lonely coast.

Your silence speaks to me
In unheard whispers
That abrogates my protestations
And turns my argumentation
Into a trifle, nothing
more than a child’s
Toy am I, reduced to sucking
The life out this house
For sustenance.
