This is about my grandma that recently passed away.
Although we weren't as close
As you would've wanted
I'm grateful for the path you chose
I'm no longer haunted
By the life I would've led
And the abuse I would've endured
The pain I would've bled
A life so obscured
If it weren't for your generosity
I would've been a loser
Living as her atrocity
And her as my abuser
There's so much left to be said
And a lot to discover
Your face is in my head
Your life left to be unrecovered
I will always love you
And keep you close to my heart
A good talk was long overdue
But God made us part
We ran out of time
And I miss you so
Taking you should be a crime
And now I'll never know
The answers to questions
That only you know
I should've made more suggestions
On how to get closer to you

RIP Nine Faye Dutton
