A comment on life or the lack of.

I Dream of Gold when dew lies like a carpet,
When sleepy eyes are closed in blurry sight,
As frozen thought awakens to the morning,
A world in motion, breaks to life.

Laughter in the playground, giants roar,
Watched over by the wisest, wrapped up warm,
Joy cries in many colours, honest gold,
A world in motion, flares to life.

Dreams of Gold, the innocence of youth,
In sheltered minds, simple, plain and clear,
Where treasures true within a thought abide,
A world in motion, burns with life.

I Dream of Gold though motion is my master,
As all about me money rules as king,
Enthroned upon mans wishes, loves, desires,
A world in motion, warm with life.

Freedoms sold for less than freedoms due,
Sinking ships on sand, a token calf,
Words in wisdom thrown to mobs of fools,
A world in motion smoulders. Is this life?

Throw away world, the plastic thief,
We sold yesterday, stamped approved,
The music of the moment, a stamping beat,
A world in motion, cold with lifeless strife.

I wish I had to courage to refrain,
To stand and fight for Dreams of Gold,
But I succumb to pleasure void of pain,
In a world of motion, life is bled anew.
