A Dreamy Poem
Let’s all go the distance to a dream,
no matter how far that may be.
Rainbows bloom at the end of the road,
eschew a man who has no scheme.

Do not tamper with a good daydream.
Beware a guileful lass; for she
will doubt your dreams until they explode.
Strong vigilance must be your theme.

By the rainbow is a dreamy stream.
A bee stung me; then flew off free.
To cede a dream so close does forebode
loss of thoughts that I can’t redeem.

White lines on a blacktop road might seem
a good spot for a refugee.
An unheard of dreamtime episode
sees angels riding near a stream.

Your deep, inner thoughts must reign supreme
when on the road to dreams, you see.
Just how you hold the heaviest load
reflects the source of your esteem.

Let’s all go the distance to a dream,
no matter how far that may be.
Rainbows bloom at the end of the road,
eschew a man who has no scheme.
