A poem from childhood
The StoryMaster Hide and Seek
Dedicated to the child in myself
Camouflaged under the stairs, obscure to those
who would endeavor to establish her unmolested sanctuary.
Her phantoms invade her asylum
from entities of nefarious torments.

Pearls of wisdom stolen from her perspective.
No eclipse for the dark light.
Twilight descends as stillness suffocates
the essence of the child.

She embraces the significance of it all.
The mask materializes as the victim
becomes the trickster.

Timeless manipulations of the child's
mind. Her philosophies have no resolve.
Her lucidity dangles over the cliff's edge.
The void ever closer, harmony eternally
altered, the vision quest evanesces.

Ethereal veils lifted, existence abdicates,
the journey of agony at an end.
The song is set free.
