If only I could be your wife. . .
IF I COULD...

If I could be your MollyGirl,
(This is how I'd feel),
I feel secure and safe and loved,
My broken heart would heal.

If I could be your MollyGirl,
(This is what I'd be),
I'd be content in loving you,
And having you love me.

If I could be your MollyGirl,
(This is what I'd do),
I'd find my greatest pleasure,
In doing things for you.

I cannot be your MollyGirl,
(I cannot be your wife),
All I can do, is long for you,
AND LOVE YOU ALL MY LIFE!
