A poem about a friend of mine that i wanted to be more than a friend
Your face brings a smile to mine
Your voice sends shivers up my spine
Your picture still knots my stomach
Your eyes still seem to see through my disguise

I thought I had a chance
To win your heart
To show you that I was the one
To prove myself to you

Now I’m torn
I still love you,
But I know we can only be friends
Since that’s all I’ve ever been to you

I still hope that it’s a lie
I still wonder if you’re just too shy
I still want to know what you truly think of me
Even if you say we’re only friends now

My mind can’t stop thinking of you
My heart can’t stop aching for you
I still beg myself to dream of you
To dream of the things I love about you

Your smile,
Your eyes,
Your touch,
Your smell.

I can’t put into words,
At least not the right ones.
Nothing in the world,
Can describe how I feel about you.

I still love you,
Even if we’re only friends now.
