some poems i did in high school
Purest Victory

I sat there in the car waiting for the race to begin.
My blood boiled and pumped as the start grew near.
As the race begins I shot out like a bullet from a gun to the first turn.
Minutes later the race was nearing the end,
On the final turn of the final lap, I flew by the leader
Like a cheetah hunting its’ prey
Then I crossed the finish line to gain another victory.
The first race I ever raced in I won,
It was the sweetest and purest victory I had.
To go back to that would be a dream come true,
Nothing, I could wish could ever bring me back to that day.

Heaven is For Those Who Wait

We waste our lives away,
With everyday we came,
And all the things that,
We might have done.
This place wasn’t just fun and games,
Nothing can nor will change that but,
Each year brought us to another grade,
Got so old, the excitement began to fade.
Heaven is for those who wait…

The Passing Light

This passing light, screams by my speed,
Not stopping for anyone or anything.
It’s my only release; it’s the wind in my hair.
The race is the only true love I have left,
I’m losing all control and emotion of anything real.
Just to hear the engine roar and purr…

This passing light streams by my head,
I’m not stopping for anyone or thing.
It’s my release, my only release!
It’s the speed that makes me scream for more,
It is the one true love I have left.
When I floor it, it gives me a new found glory,
It makes me strive to win and conquer all.
