Wouldnt it be nice if we could freeze time?
Electric pulses
and flashing lights
We shine through
florescent eyes.
Free my mind
of all i wish i could do
as the sirens ring
and the night screams.
I can only hear you breathe.
If you say "goodbye"
before the break of day
I will say "I miss you" before you wake.
My words can fail
so i can only hope
that these fleeting seconds and second chances
can be frozen and held between our hands.
To see you smile,
reminds me of the miles
between us.
To say "i'm sorry"
wouldn't be nearly enough
we were here, we were perfect
I'm still here, you are further
I'm just standing still.
