This is a song I wrote recently and it really means a lot to me.
The lyrics sit
At the tip of my tongue
And the melody is vague

Right now the noise
Is a pleasant song
That brightens my rainy day

And all the time
You’ll try to ruin
What I have built so strong

(chorus)
I’m at peace with me
and that’s all that really matters
I’m a whole, and I don’t
Need you to complete me
My song has
All the words
That don’t remind me of you
You don’t get to have
This song too

My words
don’t drip with disdain
And aren't filled with pain

While songs can do
What words don’t have to
You wont win it again
