Distance makes us closer...
My heart pounds like it will never stop…
I find a nest of butterflies, hidden
Somewhere I can’t see.
And then I crack a smile.
It comes so naturally,
Being with you
And being happy,
That I don’t understand why
I should ever be sad again.
Now as I sit here,
Under covers protecting
Me from the cold,
I remember how quickly
I’m being forced to
Let go.
