This dangerous addiction, this lovely drug...
It all began here,
The birth of addiction.
The smell of the woodwork,
The feel of the rosin.
The lustful strings,
The striking bow.
The world is swimming
Before my eyes, and
I'm lost in
This trance,
Lost in this
Flow.
The
Strings
Are
Like
Clay
Beneath
My
Supple
Fingers,
Bending
To do
My
Every
Wish.
The bow is
Striking like the thunder
Above me, and the sky will open,
Tearing apart like the strings I have with me.
Now this whirlwind will not slow, but no matter,
I hope it never stops. The music, the feel, the
Breathing of the instrument, slow yet quick,
Deep yet not. There are few addictions quite as
Dangerous as this, to be caught up in the hunger,
The craving for more. More music, more song, more
Classical genius. A desperate sonata, or some
Screaming concerto. The swell of the music is
Pumping out more adrenaline, and I feel as if
I'll surely explode. This music, it haunts me and
It makes me want more. The first time this
Happened it never quite stopped, and now I'm
A lost soul, I've been stolen by the Violin.
I'll never quit, as long as I live, this wonderful
Drug, this killing addiction. I shall never rest
Until I can get some more, more music,
More strings, more lusting song. This
Adrenaline will surely kill me but
I'm telling you this lovely drug is
Worth it. The white dust of the rosin,
Rising lazily as my bow flies below it.
This can't be a sin, this dreadful addiction,
There's not a thing wrong with this wonderful
Feeling. I've been stolen, and I've been sold,
My soul abused. My heart's gone missing, and
My neck is bruised. My fingers are calloused
From never-ending strings of white-hot silver. To
This day I've never felt anything quite like the pain
Of music. She's a back-stabber, that beautiful music,
She holds your heart hostage with the first taste,
And then she kills you, seals it with a kiss. Now you
Belong to music, you are lost in her bliss. This song
That I play is a warning to others, who think that
This instrument is safe. Believe me, it isn't, no
Matter what others say. Stay on the sidelines
And you won't have to pay. But don't heed my
Warning, you'll find yourself dead.
The notes are water to your
Soul...without this song I'd
Exist nevermore.
THE END
