How To Get Warm When It's Cold Out.
Take off your clothes;
lay down and take them off.
It's warmer if your clothes are
off, on top of you,
your sweater and pants draped like blankets
over your limbs. I wear so many layers
you can't find me. I'm underneath them,
sprawled and naked and warm, smiling
into my shirt; I like it against my lips,
it catches my breath, I can taste it.

I wiggle; this graceless dance against
the floorboards makes me laugh
and you, laughing too, reach through
these clothes to touch me.
