Some thoughts and feelings about the Muslim holy month of Ramadan
Ramadan

The clock hands slowly tick,
Raindrops softly drip,
Sunrise, sundown,
The moon a glowing crown,
Ramadan,
Full of timely wonders,
Stepping out of the mosque,
in the crisp early air,
The morning star shines above,
Autumn leaves are falling,
The golden sunlight beaming down,
To light the pages turning,
As warm as the loving smiles,
Standing in the listening rows,
Tranquil as the mountain meadows,
Listening,
Words of lasting wonder,
Beauty in their melody,
Sitting amidst one great family,
Sharing food of a thousand cultures,
Colours,
Look it's time!
How lovely,
Take from my hand
Sit by me,
The bond of faith smells sweeter,
Unity shines much brighter,
So much to be thankful for,
Such a blessed month.
