A hidden sonnet.
I find it hard to think that now it has
been one whole year since first my hear you took
with just one kiss. I think sometimes of paths
we could have gone, but take no backwards look.
For anything I would not change one glance,
one walk amongst the leaves of fall, one word
of quiet whispered secrets, not one dance
while drenched in rain or moonbeams. I have heard
of many ways to go about our love;
yet none compare to passion that you show.
Your eyes, so sweet, that smile from above
speak louder truths than words, but even though
I never heard so sweet a lie as when
you smiled at me and said we were just friends.
