I wrote this for my creative writing class check it out and tell me if you like it
To You

Water pouring down
All over your house
I ring the doorbell
And your father opens the door
He looks at me and
Looks at you
He notices a dark splotch
On your damp blue shirt
As well as my torn jeans
He looks back
At the body
As if it didn’t belong to you
Anymore
Even though it be yours

He goes inside
To find your mother
I look around
Your trees move
And the leaves reach out
To touch and silence
And I am silenced as I wait
Wait outside
And as I sit and I wait

The door to your house opens
And your parents fixing on me
Their dark accusing eyes
Just stare at my eyes
Seeming to look into my soul
And read my deepest darkest secrets
My eyes and my soul
Tell them all
They need to know
And their eyes relax
And bid me comfort
And mine theirs
I hand you over to your parents
Bidding you a final farewell
“Rest in peace,
And may god be with you
Till we meet again.”
