A poem about the symbolism between roses and Jesus Christ.
In the rose garden
Is my favorite place to be.
I meet my Confidante, my Friend, my Father
And no one knows but me.

I go there everyday just wanting to be
By myself when I need just a moment
To gather my thoughts for the day.
It is time well spent.

Everyday He shows up without fail
Just when I need Him to.
He always meets me there.
I can talk to Him as I always do.

I am able to say anything
Without shame or guilt.
I go to the rose garden
My Savior built.

And He tells me the story
I always love to hear
About the roses I love so much
And will always hold dear.

The bright red petals
Are His precious Blood shed
That day upon the Cross
Where they left Him for dead.

The leaves of green
Are a new life for you and me.
A new beginning
For all the world to see.

The spiny thorns
Are His suffering pain
For all of us to know
How He didn’t die there in vain.

And finally the stem
That holds it all together
Is His love for us
That will remain forever.

I leave the rose garden
Knowing I can return
To His overflowing love
And always learn

Oh His majesty, of His power,
Of His love for us
That will never die
There in the rose garden.
