A poem about how there is a light even in the darkest of places
The Guiding Light Of Life
I walk through a dark forest,
There is no light,
Darkness surrounds me as I walk onward,
I start to run, where am I going?
I pray for light but none comes,
What can I do but stand in the dark,
I’m all alone all my friends are gone,
Who can save me I see no way out?
Suddenly I hear a voice; it comes from the heavens,
‘I am with you I will never leave nor forsake you,”
Peace came over me my troubles vanished,
And with my peace came a light
A light that guided me home
Never again will I let myself be lost,
Because I found the light,
The light that was there all along,
Before I had been blind to not see,
But now and forever more I shall walk in the light.
