The way I feel about someone miles away
The Obsession

For fifteen years,
You have been in my thoughts
You've crossed my mind,
More than just a lot.
I dream of your face
How it's haunted me so
And the decision I made
to walk away and let go.
I wish for our reunion
In more ways than just one
It's more of an obsession
More so, than none.
I fantasize about your touch
That first relinquished moment
Your kiss on my lips
On my knees, I repent.

Forgive me, for I have loved
Never once speaking that word
Nor feeling this emotion
But your ears, they heard,
The sound of my relentless heart
Beating eternal through infinity,
And through the barriers of life,
Secluded intervention of divinity.
Forgive me, for I now see
Blinded by the others before you
Confused by my rose-colored glasses
Seeing love all torn and askew
My hands folded outward
My heart on the inside
All broken and scarred
To you, I give and confide.

On bended knee, you wipe my tears
And wisp the hair from my face
No words are spoken,
Only your lip's sweet embrace.
To the floor, our bodies follow
In rhythm our hearts collide
And the seductive dance
of a lifetime, now resides.

That is how I imagine it
The first time I see you
I've heard your voice
I've felt it too.
But my life is lacking your touch
The miles between us; tough
Even so...
Your words, for now, are enough
You are my ultimate drug
Can't you see I'm addicted to you?
I'd rather be high on you,
Than incomplete without love, too.
