Once I wanted to be the greatest
Sarah told me
that she had
a secret for me
to keep.

Oh no, not me,
Sarah please,
I just don't want
that type of
responsibility.

She said
I hurt myself
today, I drew
blood today,
across my back
today, as I scratched
with my fingernails,
and thought of you
today.

Oh Sarah
you leave
me with nothing
to say.
I mouth why
into the phone
as my silence
punctuates your
confession.
