Just love me in the morning.
In The Morning
by Morgan Landrum

Sorry baby, I was living in my past again
Full of shame
Full of sin
I didn't commit it; just followed the guilty party
Soaked in their ocean of lies; sipped their poison
Mixed with beautiful disguise
Don't patronize me with your sensitivity
Tonight is no good for consoling me.

Just love me in the morning
When I'm not a lost cause
And my fight with these demons is put on pause.
Just love me in the morning
When my cure has arrived
My rage is resting; my pain subsides.

I know it ain't blissful dwelling in my company
I'm dreaming
Sadly, you witness my ugly reality
You desire more for me than the ones I care to impress
You shouldn't waste your love trying to create my happiness
My fate's already written;
No happy ending
No triumphant victory
No mercy granted to my soul's misery.

Just love me in the morning
When I'm not a lost cause
And my fight with these demons is put on pause.
Just love me in the morning
When my cure has arrived
My rage resting; my pain subsides.
