Been there?
What if I swam among the stars and strolled beneath the sea,
What if everything we dreamed of was a possibility,
What if consciousness coincided with the paradigms of sleep,
Then everything we dreamed of would become reality.

What if I told you yesterday I saw Elvis on the street,
And stepped upon the blue suede shoes he wore upon his feet,
What if the walls that made my house began to speak to me,
What if I told you all these things were possible to see.

What if I told you I’d felt feelings you couldn’t comprehend,
What if morning light could be night and signal mornings end,
What if burning pain could explain, the happiness of fear,
What if Jesus walked on water, but I could walk on beer.

What if I said this all was true
That I could give this gift to you,
Abstract feelings could be real,
There are colors past the color wheel.

If you want your toes to touch the clouds, while your fingers touch the sky,
For silent noises to be loud, for water to be dry,
Don’t open up your mind, don’t open up your eyes,
Just open up your veins and let this heroin inside.
