A Confession of ecstasy
Confession #1

I wait for his return like Christians waiting on the sky to part.
Trumpets sound the closer it gets to his getting off work.
Dragons fly across my mind, reminding me of our morning love making
I drift in fantasy’s of the future of us
Mixing our skin colors to create children of Cassandra Wilsons night
We lay exhausted he coils his fingers in my loc’s
I surrender to him whether he knows it or not
I want him, forever and ever to be content with our everyday
Situations
Aries and Gemini creating the most romantic love story
The ghetto has ever known.
We belong together
And it didn’t take psychics this time to tell me what I wanted to hear
Nor did it take my mothers approval
All it took was the right time and place
A man and woman were willing to stay long enough to watch the sun come up.
