A poem based on the character Mark Cohen, from Rent
It lingers,
A frame from that night.
Who would have imagined that what I,
A "Bleeding heart cameraman" shot
would haunt us all

A close-up on the steeple,
It's over. I know not how it began.
Only Christmas eve flickers
Like Mimi's candle in the night.

It's gone, like Rodger, like Angel,
But burns like an eternal flame.
And here am I, Mark Cohen,
With my camera, alone...
